about me
I am the connector between your organization, the marketing, and communications team, the clients whom you serve, and/or the target population you desire to reach.
My goal is to assist your organization in effectively reaching the richly diverse Black community for your business, campaign, or initiative.
I work with your team of experts to help them create, and effectively disseminate culturally intelligent messaging through multiple forms of marketing; written collateral, social media platforms, podcasts, webinars, and workshops specifically geared to the Black community.
Since I’ve been Black all of my life, I am uniquely positioned as a subject matter expert not only through my lived experience but also, I have 20 years of experience in Leadership as a Community Engagement Professional, which includes several years of working with multiple marketing firms in Greater Sacramento. I am a well-respected influencer with a strong network of leaders in all sectors, and change-makers across the nation.
With all that is going on in our world right now, many organizations are scrambling to diversify their workforce, and are making a concerted effort to understand the complexities and various nuances of true racial diversity. I help to dispel the misguided assumption that all Black people are alike and that one message fits all. I help you to effectively reach POC (People of Color) without offending them through the use of offensive stereotypes.
The Black community is extremely diverse. What works for the faith community isn’t going to work for the professional community. What works for a single, working mom, won’t resonate with a married, full-time mom, etc. I have lived all versions of these, and have been an active participant in these various forms of culture which all have a different language. The mistake many marketing firms make is lumping us all into one category.
I don’t claim to speak for all Black people, but I can certainly assist in bridging the communication divide so that your organization is effectively, and intelligently reaching the Black community.
